How will I know if something needs cleaning or replacement?
The main controller on your RainStick Shower will flash blue when a deep clean is required and when the cleaning solution needs to be refilled. You will also receive a notification via the RainStick Shower App if you are using it. If you are out of RainStick Original Cleaning Product know that you can continue to use your RainStick Shower in traditional mode until your order of RainStick Original Cleaning Product arrives. You can learn more in ourCare & User Guide.
What are the ongoing maintenance requirements?
The RainStick Shower uses RainStick Original Cleaning Product to perform two cleaning cycles - an automated session after every shower and a deep clean every 60 showers.
The automated cleaning session that starts after each shower is to guarantee that each new use of the recirculating shower is hygienic. This also prevents hard water from forming and keeps the built-in UV LED optimized. You can set this cleaning session to start 45, 60 or 90 seconds after a shower has ended from the RainStick Shower App. Learn more here
After approximately 60 showers a deep clean is required. You will be notified of the deep clean requirement on the RainStick Shower App or by the main controller pulsing blue. At this time you will need to fill up the RainStick Original Cleaning Product in the dispensing compartment.
The two micron screens that collect dirt and debris will need to be rinsed and wiped down every 1-2 weeks depending on the usage.
